Marriage in Málaga doesn´t last as long as other places in the region, as proven by the Instituto Andaluz de Estadística in a recent survey.
Rather than until death, marriage in Málaga is likely to last 14.3 years, although it is not uncommon for commitments to last a mere 6 months. The longest recorded marriage was 43 years, before the decision to separate was made.
A representative of the IAE stated that there are a lot of factors that cause these social issues, from education to money and other outside influences. There are around 10 marriages dissolved every day in the area, which means that there are statistically half as many break ups as relationships that are cemented by marriage.
