The Andalusian Centre of Photography (CAF) and the Ministry of Culture presented two exhibits last week, from photographer Nadav Kander on his first exhibition in Spain; ‘Obama’s People and Other Portraits’ and ‘Inner Condition.’
Visitors to the exhibition can see photos of Obama himself and his team, made before he was named Ppresident of the United States, and a series of portraits of artists such as Brad Pitt, Henry Kissinger and David Lynch, along with an “unprecedented and personal” nude work presented exclusively.
As stated in a press release, ‘Obama’s People and Other Portraits’ came at the request of The New York Times to reflect the temperament and personality of those who were to mark the new direction, while in ‘Inner Condition’ Kander represents the naked human body in a realistic and intimate way challenging the current concept of beauty, more akin to fantasy.
Meanwhile, details of a new exhibit have emerged and interested parties can visit the exhibition ‘Absence” at the Tower of Homage of the Alcazaba of Almeria, based on the valuable collection ‘Imagine’ until May 31st. Visitors can enjoy the works of photographers such as Evgen Bavcar, Terry Braunstein, Gabriel Cualladó, Arno Fischer, Roland Laboy, Claude Nori, Max Pam, Carlos Perez and Bernard Siquier Plossu.
