NEW READER TO SERVE IN ST GEORGE´S

Sunday, 1st of May, was an eventful day for the collective congregations of St George’s Anglican Chaplaincy Málaga.

It’s not often that all four congregations (Malaga, Torre del Mar, Salinas and Cómpeta) come together for a service but this was a special occasion – not only were we holding the Chaplaincy Annual General Meeting but, during the service, we were witness to the licensing of Malcolm Tracey as “Reader in the Diocese of Europe” to serve in our Chaplaincy. Malcolm and his wife Sue are well known to the Torre del Mar congregation and we look forward to seeing a lot more of both of them in Málaga in the future. The attached photograph shows from left: Anne Eccleston, Rebecca Higgins, Revd. Dr. Raymond Taylor, Priest in Charge, Malcolm Tracey, Reader; Sue Tracey, Rebecca Francis and Rosella Parmiter, Both Rebeccas are the congregation wardens at Torre Del Mar.

On a sadder note, Revd Dr Raymond Taylor, our Priest in Charge, announced that next Sunday, 8th May, would be his last Sunday with us before he and his wife Christine return to Maine. We hope to see them again in December. Services will continue as usual at Málaga, Torre del Mar and Salinas. However, the Cómpeta services will be suspended until further notice.
