Two British women, aged 71 and 62, were injured on Tuesday when they plunged down a 10 metre high embankment in a golf buggy at Alhaurín el Grande in Málaga.
They were rescued by members of the Provincial Fire Consortium, and were taken to hospital, one of them by helicopter, the other by road.
The pair had become trapped after the plunge, but their rescue was eased by coordination between the emergency services and the owners of the golf course, along with officers of the Guardia Civil.
