FUEL COSTS VARY BY MORE THAN 10 CENTS PER LITER IN ALMERÍA

According to information provided by the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism, the Consumers Union of Almería-UCA/UCE has analysed the cost of fuel at ten filling stations in the province collecting comparative data on the price of Diesel Super 95. They have found the variations to be significant, with major differences between pumps in Almeria City and several other towns in the province.

The most economical service station in the province is in the town of Huércal Overa (1,420 € / l). By contrast, the most expensive is located in Santa María del Aguila, in El Ejido,

The cheapest cost of filling a 50 litre tank is currently 70 €, one euro more than a fortnight ago.

The consumer organization has expressed its concern about the high price of fuel which has reached record highs in recent days. It is now requesting a reduction in the price of fuel in order to help struggling families.

The association recommends that drivers always compare prices between the different stations and that they investigate the many different discounts that payment and fuel cards offer in different stations
