CROWDS FLOCK TO BOAT SHOW

The large crowd were blessed with glorious weather to see the mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolon, declare the Annual Exhibition of Model Boats open at the Park of Nations in the town.

Clubs from as far afield as Madrid and Granada came to show their models at this, one of the most prestigious events of the modelling calendar in Spain.

Councillors and senior officials from the Town Hall, together with the Fiesta Queens and Princesses, were on hand to present the trophies to the exhibitors before being shown the boats on the lake and in the Exhibition hall. The show, which is organised by the Asociacion of Modelismo Naval Torrevieja is celebrating their 10th Anniversary.

It is open from 10am till 2 pm and 5pm till 8 pm every day, except Mondays, right through until the 14th April, and admission is free.
