To celebrate International Woman’s Day, a group of lady artists from MASM, The Movimiento de Artistas de San Miguel de Salina, have put together a an exhibition of art, for woman, by woman in San Miguel’s Town Hall.

For International Woman’s Day, the artists gave a preview to the main exhibition with a small display in the famous San Miguel cave houses, in ‘La Cueva de la Maria’, Calle Góngora 11, which was attended by all the artists and many guests. The unusual setting added to the atmosphere and was a wonderful start for the main event.

The Town Hall exhibition is free to one and all and is located in the main area of the Town Hall. There are paintings and sculptures of women by woman and features the work of seven of the female artists in the group. The Town Hall ‘Mujeres’ starts on Friday 8th and is open during normal town hall business hours.

MASM was founded in 2012 and has 15 members. If you have an interest in art and would be interested in joining them, you can contact the group through their Facebook page or find out more information at their exhibition.
