Past will meet present, old will mix with new, history will be made as a fusion of time comes together to transport you to an era long since forgotten, well before our lifetime, as, for the first time ever, The Leader has joined forces with one of Europe´s principal Medieval Market organizers to create the International Home and Lifestyle Expo, an event that is both unique in how it will showcase the exhibitors, and in the way every single person will be taken on a journey through time, during a remarkable day out for all the family.

Balconet Medieval Markets are well known for providing the best historic reflection of produce and goods, having already been successful across Spain, including the island of Ibiza, as well as Elche and Orihuela, now, in conjunction with The Leader, they are coming to San Miguel, to the Castillo de Conesa, for the next International Home and Lifestyle Exhibition spectacular, taking place on the 30th of April and the 1st of May.

The doors will open at 10:00, and allow you to enter a new world of delights and experiences, with around 40 stalls in the Medieval Market alone, offering traditional and hand crafted gifts, sweets, toiletries, clothing, in fact a whole range of top quality items that Balconet is famed for.

A range of traditional Moroccan teas will be available to sample, and to buy, as well as a giant paella, enough to feed a Medieval army, all washed down with copious amounts of drink, perhaps from the 1 euro bar.

There will be traditional music played on historic replica instruments, with specialist medieval musicians, as well as a music tent and atmospheric sounds to take your experience beyond the senses, with costumed entertainers throughout the day.

Even the children will be well catered for, and they are welcome to dress for the occasion in a costume that will make them feel more of a part of the whole experience, with around 20 tables for kid´s activities, plus a replica, wooden play area, the days of video consoles can be left behind, as they learn the true value of play.

The castle itself will also open its doors, offering guided tours twice a day, so you can learn about the design and development and find out a little more about the iconic buildings at the Castle de Conesa.

But we can´t just take ourselves away to the past, the present and the future will also play a part, with home and garden exhibitors being on hand, with each stall offering professional advice, on everything from toldos, furniture, pools and Jacuzzis, to clothing and jewellery, and currency exchange and financial advice from HiFX, who will be on hand to guide you throughout, with fair and consistent exchange rates, making sure that the banks don´t cash in.

Modern art can also decorate your home, whatever era your decor is set, with Rico Visual Art offering examples and demonstrations, showing how you can create your own masterpiece, or maybe just indulge in a temporary tattoo.

With ample parking on and neat the grounds, based on the outskirts of San Miguel, with an entrance fee of just 2 euro for adults, accompanied children getting in for free, this really is a date for your diary as the fiesta of all fiestas brings together the best elements of years of knowledge and experience, on a historic journey through time, at an event that really can only be described as “spectacular”.
