Eleven arrested for farm thefts

The Guardia Civil have arrested 11 people, all of whom are said to be of Moroccan nationality, facing charges of being involved in 45 thefts from farms across Murcia, Albacete, Alicante, Jaén and Granada, as well as 9 thefts from motor vehicles.

The arrests are as a result of an investigation which started in June 2012, following an increase in crimes of this nature. The market value of stolen goods recovered is said to be in the region of 100,000 euro, whereas the total loss, including economic damage, is far higher than that.
