Tuesday the 14th of May marked the second Tuesday of the odd month, which means that bottled gas prices were revised once again, this time reaching the anticipated maximum rate of 17,50 per bottle.
The bi-monthly review will still continue, although the price has now reached the ceiling set by the government, which will remain for the immediate future, whereas prices can now only go down, should the market value dictate.
As we previously reported, the price of butane gas bottles is set to continue to increase for the next few months, with a target of reaching 17.50 euro per refill in May, a figure which will be the ceiling on the price for the future, as part of the government’s plans for “liberalisation of the sector”.
