Residents and visitors to Benidorm, looking to escape from the scorching May heat, may well want to simmer down and get chilled in one of the major water parks in the area, as Aqualandia Benidorm water park will open its doors on Saturday the 18th of May, for the start of the official summer season.
Alright, we may have painted an erroneous picture of the recent mid-May weather, but it doesn´t change the fact that the water park will be opening again, and, in keeping with the traditions of recent years, will offer free admission to the first 100 children through the doors, as they swing open at 10:00 in the morning.
Since the park first opened 28 years ago, it has become a “must visit” attraction to many a visitor over the years. This innovation of free early admission may be novel, but has been growing in popularity over recent years, with thousands of young people gathering at the gates of the park first thing in the morning, some even from the night before, eager to be one of the first to gain entry, according to sources at the park that is.
Aqualandia is considered to be Europe’s largest water park, and with the most number of attractions of “vertigo and adrenaline”, including a variety of slides, of different intensity, designed for “lovers of strong emotions”.
