Twelve people have died in any of the eleven accidents on Spanish roads over the weekend, as reported by a spokesman of the Directorate General of Traffic (DGT). Seven people were also seriously injured and a further six suffered minor problems, according to the provisional figured between 15:00 pm on Friday and 20:00 pm Sunday.
Saturday was the worst day when seven people were killed in six fatal accidents, which also left six serious injuries.
On Friday, three people were killed and five injured, whilst on Sunday, with data until eight in the evening, two people have been killed and one more was injured in two traffic accidents.
Saturday saw the only accident with a motorcycle involved. A motorcyclist died after colliding head-on with an SUV on the C-16 as it passes through Vilanova de Sau, in Osona (Barcelona).
