IBERIA ANNOUNCE LOST PROPERTY AUCTION

Spanish airline Iberia has announced that it will auction thousands of abandoned and uncollected lost property items on the 20th of June, with a value expected to be around 12,485 euro.

The items up for auction are mostly clothing items, but lucky bidders might also be able to snap up a bargain from their range of sunglasses, backpacks, phones, jewellery, books, toys, stationery and computers.

One of the largest lots consists of 3,401 books, which were all left at their storage facility, as well as 2,804 items of used clothing, 1,751 of sundry stationery items, 641 pieces of jewellery, 616 items which relate to telecoms, such as phones. In addition, there are 203 miscellaneous gifts, 744 caps, 55 pairs of gloves, 125 umbrellas and 61 shawls, which may well become complimented by 166 pairs of new and 25 pairs of second hand shoes.

However, if you feel that you might have misplaced any of the items on the list, you still have a chance to claim your items back, although you´d better hurry. The items have all gone on public display for a month from the 18th of May, before the auction on the 20th of June, during which time owners have the chance to be reunited with their goods, so long as you can prove that you own them, before eager bidders will wag their fingers, raise an eyebrow and take home a unique item from the displays at the stores on the former industrial area of Barajas airport.
