Police officers in Vigo, a municipality situated in the autonomous community of Galicia, in the northwest Spain, have arrested the 51 year old male driver of a car, a Spanish national and resident of the city, after they believed the driver may have been in a “serious state of alcohol intoxication”.
The suspicions of the patrol were first raised when they witnessed the car travelling along a main road, Avenida del Aeropuerto, despite the front passenger side wheel of the vehicle being quite obviously missing.
Upon successfully getting the driver to stop the vehicle, a breath test was performed, which showed the driver had 1.13 milligrams of alcohol per litre of blood and was subsequently brought to answer charges relating to the incident in court.
