A 65 year old man and a 16 month old baby suffered serious injuries in a crash on the N332 at Santa Pola on Friday.
Four other people were also injured in the crash, a 28 year old man, a 32 year old woman and two other children, when a van with a single occupant collided with a car, carrying the others injured in the crash, for reasons which are being investigated.
The main N-332 coastal road was closed in the area of the Salinas de Santa Pola, an area which has been the site of numerous incidents in the past, whilst the scene was cleared.
The 65 year old man was taken to Elche General Hospital, in a serious condition, and the baby, who suffered a head injury, was taken to the General Hospital of Alicante. The other injured parties were taken to hospital in a less serious condition.
