Guardamar council has approved a notion to implement “blue parking” zones at the beach areas of the town, which will now apply between the 15th of June and the 15th of September. Despite a number of residents opposing the plan, there will now be a total of 850 parking spaces which will require a payment of 2,78 euro, plus IVA, for up to 4 hours between 10:00 in the morning and 20:00 at night. A private company will be contracted to manage the scheme with an investment of 273,000 euro.
