The Orihuela Costa Branch of the Royal British Legion held it’s monthly meeting last Thursday evening at which they welcomed Staff from the Paul Cunningham Nurses. Whilst the object of the visit was a presentation of the organisation’s services by Business Coordinator Tracey Wallace, Nurse Valerie Roland, accompanied by her mother Betty Short, thanked the Branch for their provision of the RBL Standard and the Union Flag at the funeral of her late father last year. Having served in the Fleet Air Arm Donald Short had always requested the Standard be displayed at his interment. Valerie and Betty said he would have been absolutely delighted to know that one of his final wishes was fulfilled.
Alongside Bev Roberts, Val is one of two full time nurses working for PCN on the Costa Blanca providing private nursing at home as well as a Diabetic Clinic where members of the public are able to receive information and education in diabetes self management skills.
Based in La Marina you can contact PCN from Monday to Friday, 0930 – 1300, on 966 790 363. Alternatively information is available on the website www.paulcunninghamnurses-sl.com
