According to EGATUR, of the total international tourists who visited Spain in 2012, six out of ten looked online information to organize their trip to our country, 59% booked a service and 56% paid through Internet.

This data shows how the digital tourist acts, which has led, among other reasons, for the need of a new version of the official tourism site of Spain , the aim of which is to respond to all these needs, becoming a tool that is indispensable when making travel arrangements.

The new version of spain.info aligns itself with the objectives set out in the Strategic Marketing Turespaña, enhancing the promotion of tourism products to diversify tourism in Spain, ranging from the traditional sun and beach, culture, nature, gastronomy, sports, etc.. It will contribute to the supply and be seasonally adjusted.

The aim of the new spain.info is twofold: on one hand, it is intended to improve the tourist experience being more inspiring, more social, more interactive, with easier navigation and intuitive, with more visual content showing the many attractions in our country.

Moreover, for the first time, visitors can book online everything they need for their trip to Spain, from transportation to accommodation, services at the destination, such as tickets to a show, visit to a museum, etc.. In this way, tourists can complete the life cycle without leaving spain.info.

With this new version is intended to provide the private sector with a new sales channel, as the final purchase is always carried out on the website of the service provider.

The tourist can book his flight or train and through spain.info as well as accommodation where he will find comparisons for each product option chosen.

Spain.info is available in eighteen languages and has 25 local versions customized for both traditional source markets for emerging nations such as Brazil, Russia, India and China.
