ORIHUELA PROVIDES 17,000 EURO TO STRUGGLING FAMILIES

A payment of 274,765 euros was approved last week by the city Finance Department for the settlement of 60 bills to local companies and organizations that have provided services to the council.
A further 568 euros will be paid by city’s insurance company following a judgment made by Elche court awarding compensation to a resident following a road accident.
In making the announcement Cllr Antonia Moreno said that Local Government has also approved the payment of outstanding monthly bills amounting to 17,029 euros for electricity, water supply and medical costs on behalf of 55 families of people with scarce resources.
