FIREFIGHTERS TO PROVIDE RAPID RESPONSE IN PILAR

During the summer months four firefighters from the Fire Department of the Provincial Council of Alicante will travel to Pilar de la Horadada every day to provide additional support in respect of a fast response in the town in case of fire.

They will be stationed in Pilar de la Horadada from10am to 10pm in an area close to that considered to present the greatest risk of fire.

“Pilar de la Horadada is the third most forested municipality in the district of the Vega Baja , so it is necessary to ensure the fire services are on hand during these particularly hazardous months, “said the Councillor of Security, Francisco Lancharro.

The firefighters, together with a fire tender, will be based on the premises of the local police. They are expected to be present in the town until mid September
