Two young girls were robbed on Wednesday evening as they were walking home from a night out in Cabo Roig. They were accosted by two boys, thought to be about 16 years of age, when they were told at knifepoint to empty their bags.
The muggers were travelling on a moped as they approached the girls from behind. They demanded that the ladies to empty the contents of their bags onto the road. The two muggers separated the ladies and threatened them both individually. Both had a foreign accent but could speak some English.
Needless to say the experience has caused the two young girls major distress and trauma.
Whilst the Police are increasing their vigilance they recommend that members of the public be extremely watchful and they either walk in large groups or they take taxis home from nights out.
