There was no match for all six numbers in yesterday’s Powerball lottery draw so the estimated jackpot for next Wednesday’s draw has now grown to a MASSIVE estimated $400 million.

The winning numbers selected in last night’s draw were 21, 24, 36, 42 and 45. The Powerball was 15.

Last night, global lottery players stumped up just $2 to take part in this HUGE jackpot draw but there were no jackpot winners. As a result, the prize has now increased to around $400 million which is still below the $590.5 million jackpot which was won in May 2013 by an 84-year old widow residing in Florida, USA.

Saturday’s pot was HUGE and it attracted a large number of casual players who only buy tickets when they think the payoff is worth-while and potentially life-changing. This has resulted in the $400 million jackpot which will be available in the draw on Wednesday. The mathematical odds of matching all six numbers are 1 in 175.2 million so there is a very good possbility that the prize could be won this week!

The Powerball lottery is played in 43 states, as well as Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The last time that the Powerball jackpot was won was June 22. The lucky ticket was sold in Pennsylvania, earning its holder a prize of $131million.
