This week´s virtual copy of The Leader is now available on our dedicated website, where you can also find back copies of The Leader too, in case you missed one recently.

Cram packed with news, just like every week, but this week we lead with the front page story about education and the lack of progress on completing a long awaited new school building on the Orihuela Costa. The responsibility for completion lying with the Regional Government, rather than the local authority, the local councillors visited Valencia after a long delay in trying to get a meeting, but came away empty handed, with no more information being provided.

Reforms of local authorities getting even closer, with the central government looking to reduce the number of politicians, in a story we´ve been following for some time, plus the debt that one of those local administrations has built up comes under the microscope, over in San Miguel.

We have the latest news from the travel industry, including growth and expansion in the airways, and the start of what looks like it might be another ongoing campaign by Ryanair, this time denying claims that they inflated flight prices for families of those going to the crash site at Santiago de Campostela. Another great air related story is an introduction to the first ever all female crew of an emergency helicopter.

We have all of the local, regional and national news, all round up into nice little bite sized chunks, including the sightings of strange sea creatures, tourism in Orihuela, news from the police, motoring, health and beauty and more, not forgetting our sports round up.

If that´s not enough, we also have our weekly pull out guide to the best events for the week ahead, and a bit of a review as to where you might find something to offer diversion from the heat and provide a bit of culture at the same time.

You can pick up the real newspaper in hundreds of outlets across the area on Monday morning, but if you want to catch the virtual version, available first on the internet, visit our website, www.virtualleader.info, or you can click here to go direct to this week´s issue.
