THREE TEN STORY BLOCKS FOR ROC�O DEL MAR

Torrevieja City Council has authorized the construction of three towers blocks, each of ten stories high, in a beachfront location on urbansiation Rocio del Mar. The plans were made public last week by Los Verdes.

The news came as a surprise to hundreds of local owners, many of whom say that they had been given assurances by the original builder, Gomendio, that any further apartments constructed on the site would be no more than 4 stories high. They were told that the agreement was even included in the General Plan.

The current developer is understood to be TM who have announced that building work will start shortly, however they were not available for comment when contacted by the local Spanish press.
