Thirteen fatalities on the roads

The Minister of Economy, Luis de Guindos, announced that the government will approve a law that expands the definition of SME so that more companies fall into this category and therefore gain from an easier credit flow.

Thirteen people have been killed in the twelve fatal traffic accidents on the roads of Spain this weekend, in the interim figures up until 20:00 on Sunday night. Ten people were also seriously injured, and Sunday was the worst day with a total of seven killed in six accidents.

A 29 year old Spanish woman is in a “very serious” condition after being stabbed in the neck by her former partner when he went to collect his belongings from the apartment they had previously shared in the Pere Garau district of Palma de Mallorca.

Two young men have been arrested, one of them classed as a minor, after the National Police were called in to investigate the alleged rape of two girls in the neighbourhood of Amate in Seville. One of the suspects was arrested by police on Friday and the other on Saturday.
