HIP HOP PARTY IN ORIHUELA

On the 7th of September, Orihuela will play host to a rather unique festival, specifically aimed at younger members of the community, as their encore to summer before returning to school or college.

The councillor for young people has announced a cultural festival, under the name ‘Hip-Hop’, which, in conjunction with Vega Sound 2013, will bring some of the best in ‘street’ music, art and culture together at the Los Huertos exhibition ground.

As well as popular musical shows from the likes of Capaz Fernández from Málaga, Sharif from Zaragoza, Wol from Sevilla and local performers such as El Grupo, Bastian Trama and GNC 91 NAK, amongst others, there will be a graffiti are exhibition, a street soccer tournament and a lot more to satisfy not only the young, but the young at heart.

Starting at noon on Saturday the 7th, the party is set to continue well into the early hours of the next morning, which is no surprise considering the amount that the organisers are trying to cram in.

However, realising that Los Huertos is about 30 minutes from the coast on a good day, the councillor for the coast has said that there may be the possibility of a bus being arranged, allowing attendees to leave their scooters at home, or, perhaps more importantly, meaning mum and dad´s taxi might be able to take the night off, and the youngsters can be set free to enjoy the party without hindrance.

A bus is only a possibility at this time, depending on the number of people interested, but if there are enough, the town hall for the coast are more than willing to try to do their bit to take coastal residents to take part in the event.
