DRIVER DIES IN SPECTACULAR CRASH

A man has been killed and a number of people injured on Friday after a vehicle smashed into a clothing store in the centre of Lleida.

The car´s driver, named as Artur Fornós Tarruella, a 42 year old lawyer and Member of Parliament for CiU (Catalan Democratic Party), died in the early hours of the morning. A customer of the store suffered serious injuries and a shop worker and two other clients suffered minor injuries in the incident on Avenida Blondel.

The store has not suffered any structural damage in the spectacular crash. An investigation has been launched by the police.
