INTERNATIONAL ‘CITY OF TORREVIEJA’ SEA ROWING TROPHY.

Along with Germán Soler, the President of the Real Club Nautico de Torrevieja (RCNT), and Juan Bautista Romero, the president of the Spanish Federation of Rowing, Torrevieja Councillor for Sports Luis María Pizana, held a press conference last Wednesday to announce detail of the 1^st International ‘City of Torrevieja’ Sea Rowing trophy.

The event will be held over the weekend of 5/6 October which will be held in the Torrevieja waters just outside the bay.

Up to 150 rowers from all over Spain are expected to compete along with competitors from a number of neighbouring European countries.

Categories will include both junior and adult, both male and female, with a number of different types of boats and distances.

The visiting officials thanked the councillor for his firm commitment to the sport of sea rowing, which is currently enjoying a boom, and the city of Torrevieja for their unconditional support in promoting all kinds of water sports events.
