NUMEROUS INJURIES IN TRAIN CRASH NEAR LORCA

A commuter train smashed into a truck that was on the railway line on the Lorca to Águilas route on Thursday afternoon, in the Pulpí area, resulting in at leat 15 people being injured.

Pictures from the scene shows fire damage to the front of the train, and the truck completely destroyed after the train, with some 70 people on board, pushed the vehicle around one hundred metres along the track as it attempted to stop.

According to the emergency services, seven of the injured have been rushed by ambulance to hospital, including the drivers of both vehicles.
