Ketchup company Heinz has been dealt a major blow this week as the largest fast food chain in the world, McDonald´s, issued a statement saying that that are changing supplier, due to “management changes” at Heinz.
For 40 years burger biters have been able to squeeze one of their 57 varieties onto their fast-food plates, but now, the 34,000 restaurants around the globe will be serving up an alternative.
The decision has apparently come about following the appointment of Bernado Hees as the CEO of Heinz, with McDonald´s seemingly taking offence to the appointment of a man who was the former head of rival chain Burger King.
Both companies have said that the change in ketchup would be “smooth” and without detriment to the consumer.
