LEVI’S SHOWBOAT SUPPORTS THE RELLEU CHILDREN OF EMAUS

Two great events at Levi’s Showboat last week between them raised over €2,200 for the Relleu Children of Emaús.

On October 21st, a ‘Clairvoyant Night’ featuring three well know clairvoyants – David Darnborough, Pauline Kernick and Ray Bailey – was organised by Sue and George from Busot. Part of the money raised from this event – over €1,700 – has been used to purchase brand new duvets and covers for all the children at the Relleu Shelter.

Two days later, Wednesday afternoon saw Showboat open its doors to Line Dancing, courtesy of Levi and Lauren Dusty Boots! Sue and Di, supporters of the Relleu Shelter, and Carole Saunders, President of Friends of the Children of Emaus attended the event – the big question remains……….. Did they join in the dancing? This event raised some €400 to which was added a contribution from two Busot residents who emptied their ‘loose change’ tin for the Children.

So thanks are due this week to several people: Thanks to everyone who participated in both events at Showboat last week – and special thanks, of course, to Levi for his continue support of Friends of the Children of Emaús. Gratitude as well to Benidorm HELP who have provided warm flannelette sheets for all the Relleu Children and to Di who has sourced the duvets and covers to go with them.

Thanks also to John and Yvonne from Busot who, we understand, have already half-filled another tin!

Thanks to all of you and thanks for the efforts of the people of Relleu for your support of Emaús; we know now that the Relleu Children will be warm and snug in their beds this winter.
