Following the news that funeral directors have been holding their annual conference to discuss developments in their sector, with this year being overshadowed by how the financial crisis has affected them, there was one piece of good news for a firm in Barcelona, who have been granted a license to conduct burial ceremonies in a more traditional manner, by offering the last journey to one´s rest in a horse-drawn hearse.

Two horses, dressed accordingly in their own attire, will drag the 19th century vehicle through the streets, whilst live music can accompany the trip.

However, the idyllic rest might seem like a handsome proposal, but it may also play its part in easing the financial burden on the business, as it will set you back around 4,000 euro for the privilege.
