HOMES IN THE VALENCIAN COMMUNITY ARE MADE LEGAL

A petition by two law firms on behalf of the residents, has been approved by the Valencian Government, resulting in twenty homes in El Mundamiento, Los Mazones, Orihuela being legalised.

The Councillor for Town Planning for Orihuela, Antonio Zapata, said as a result of the action, the Ayuntamiento will be opening a new office in Calle de Arriba, Orihuela City, in order to deal with similar cases.

The approval has established the homes as mini-urbanisations. However, there is a cost for the owners of the properties who have to pay for utilities such as water and electricity at a cost of between €8,000 and €10,000 per household.
