IT’S A HIT FOR BILLIE AND COSTA BLANCA ACTORS
Local Actor Billie Anthony’ Gaddess has recently returned from the UK having completed his role as Jeremy Cooper a corrupt gang land councillor and Doctor in the Movie “The Hit”. The integral role critical to the story according to PSR Films Director and Writer Philip Routledge. Philip worked for over a year to complete this feature film, which is part of a trilogy. Billie’s role will become a lead role in the second part of the story, which will be shot next year.
Whilst shooting “The Hit” Billie showed DVDs of himself and other Costa Blanca actors to his Director. Philip Routledge was so impressed with their acting skills that he plans to use them in his next film.
Philip has also offered to come to Spain to shoot scenes with these local actors. People like Caoimhe O’Shea, Clive Gray, Jackie Lawson, Charlotte Howarth, Yvonne Haughton and Billie Anthony’Gaddess will be with Siesta Film Productions on “The Cucaracha Club” , a Feature Film to be shot between Benidorm and Cartagena. Starring Hollywood actor Al Matthews and top British actor Tom Watt.
Al Matthews is famous for his roles in Aliens and Superman. With a total of 64 Hollywood movies to his credit, he said that he can’t wait to work on this project. Tom Watt, who came to prominence as Lofty in the BBC Soap East Enders contacted Billie to say he wanted to be in the Film.
The script is currently being completed by local Spanish Actress/Director and writer Paloma Del Rey. Siesta are hoping to fund the project through business sponsorship and individual backing. It is intended that the film will be sent all over the world to major Film Festivals. Siesta are also negotiating with a British Cinema chain. “The world coverage will makes it a great opportunity to promote local businesses here in Spain”, said Miss Del Rey. Not satisfied with producing a movie, The Siesta Team are working hard with The ADHOC Players for next weeks production of the hilarious Ray Cooney farce “Not Now Darling” – ( a play with young ladies in a state of undress and disguarded underwear), at the Cardinal Belluga Theatre, San Fulgencio on November 14th 15th and 16th.
