According to the results contained in the Quarterly National Accounts (Spanish acronym: CNTR) published by the National Statistics Institute (Spanish acronym: INE), GDP in volume – adjusted for seasonal and calendar effects – posted quarter-on-quarter growth in the third quarter of 0.1% – the first positive result following a downturn of nine consecutive quarters. In year-on-year terms, Spanish GDP shrank by -1.1% – 0.5 points less than in the previous quarter. Quarter-on-quarter growth in the Eurozone also stands at 0.1%.
