CHRISTMAS DECORATION COMPETITION

We would like to be able to help those who ..due to the economic crisis or because of a disability.........are less well off than ourselves.

Dear Friends and Neighbours of Doña Pepa;

As you all know, every year we hold a Christmas decoration competition and my company usually presents the winner with a voucher for 100€ to spend in a garden centre.

This year is different: I would like to be able to help those who ..due to the economic crisis or because of a disability………are less well off than ourselves. It is the time of year when we ought to be more sensitive to those who have nothing than to what we may need…..Christmas is coming and many people are not able to put a plate of hot food on the table. Last Thursday I attended the meeting of the Almoradi Rotary Club and they are organising an event at the Cortés Theatre in Almoradi for children.

It will be a charity show, educational and full of values. the entrance costs only 5€ per person and this money will be destined for the “Food Bank” that in turn will distribute it through associations that reach out to those without resources. The aim is ensure that all the families in our community, our province, have something to eat on those days so special as Christmas. But furthermore, I have arranged with the Rotary Club of Almoradí to distribute 5€ to each handicapped child of the “ADA” association.

In this way disadvantaged children can enjoy the fantastic piece of theatre and in turn the money will go to the Food Bank in order to help not once but twice…..I, Francisco Lidón, will donate on behalf of my company Lidón and Associates 100€ and I do hope that all of you can also contribute so that everyone can eat this Christmastime. The show will be on the 13th December at 7pm in the Cortés Theatre in Almoradí and is called “Violeta and Pantagruel” by he company Jácara Teatro.

If you would like to go you can reserve your tickets at the theatre itself. At my office Lidón and Associates, next to the Lizarrán Tapas Bar you can leave your donations to be paid to enable the handicapped children to have an unforgettable day and then that money will also go to make sure that nobody goes without a meal this Christmas. Between us all we can help.
