31 JANUARY DEADLINE FOR EUROPEAN ELECTIONS

European residents must apply by 31st January in their local Town Hall.

Partido Popular would like to emphasize that the 31st January is the deadline for applying for the right to vote in the forthcoming European Elections this May.

Campaign Coordinator, European Representative Eva Ortiz, and Provincial General Secretary, José Juan Zaplana, held a conference with local councillors and elected representatives of six different nationalities from the European Union.

On the 11th January 2013 PP councillors and representatives from various localities from within the Province of Alicante all originating from relevant countries and nationalities from the European Union were invited to a meeting with José Juan Zaplana the General secretary of the Partido Popular in the province of Alicante, César Sánchez the General Campaign coordinator, also attending the meeting was General Coordinator Eva Ortiz from European parliament.

Specifically, the meeting brought together German, British, Italian, Dutch, Belgian and French Mayors, councillors and representatives from the Political PP Party from within the Province of Alicante. They addressed the concerns on behalf of the European residents. The Partido Popular shall include those concerns in their roadmap to Europe.

Over all, the conclusions of the conference were focused on locating the key and planning the main strategic points for the forthcoming campaign, which will start in the coming months.

It was expressed to the three provincial officials that European residents have chosen the Province of Alicante as the ideal place to develop their life projects and, in return, it is essential to involve them in decisions that affect them in their daily lives. The European representatives also expressed that the coordinators should work closely to the residents and take into account their concerns so they can forward them on to the people who can solve them.

The commitment from the Partido Popular is to adapt the messages from the meeting into reality for the European residents and to develop and sustain a continued working relationship basis to understand and resolve the actual requests…

Special emphasise was made that to be able to vote in the European elections, European residents must apply by 31st January in their local Town Hall.

The general coordinator of the Campaign, César Sánchez, said that “this is not an isolated event. We will continue. We want the European residents to really feel that the Partido Popular is close to them and their problems. We are the solution, not part of the problem. “
