VICENTE DEL BOSQUE IN TORREVIEJA

The National Football manager Vicente del Bosque will be at the Sports City at 5pm on Tuesday afternoon where he is expected to honour former local footballer Joaquín García ” Nito ” . The ceremony will also be attended by the mayor, Eduardo Dolon.

In his playing career the Torrevieja footballer represented Elche, Murcia, Torrevieja and Crevillente but it is his work as a scout for Real Madrid that Del Bosque will be honouring. In his time he has discovered many former and current Real Madrid stars including Chendo, Macanás, Juanfran, Soldado, Javi García, Camacho, Casimiro Torres, Almagro and many more.

He was also the President of the Peña Madridista in Torrevieja, under which formed a team of young local players who were able to play football as a result of his efforts when materials and facilities were scarce . Nito was also the founder of the Municipal Football School in Torrevieja.

At the presentation ceremony he will receive the Real Madrid Gold and Diamond medals.
