A group of children playing football made a rather unusual discovery after their ball had gone astray; stumbling across a small blue bag, with the words “Tanatorio de Vitoria” printed on it, lay on the ground in the vicinity of the El Acequión School where they played.
However, the discovery would take an even more unusual twist as when they opened the bag they discovered an urn inscribed with the name “Julián”, and a date of 2005.
The police were called and also examined the bag, which did indeed contain an urn full of ashes, presumably belonging to a person named on the urn, who is no longer with us in body.
Although how the remains came to be placed on the ground in that area is currently a mystery, an investigation has been launched, at least to try and identify who may be missing what is left of their now departed loved one.
