23/02/2014. Spain welcomes the adoption of Resolution 2139 of the UN Security Council which lays the foundations for removing the obstacles to ensuring the effective provision of humanitarian aid to the more than nine million Syrians that find themselves in an extreme situation. Spain also wishes to acknowledge the role played by Australia, Jordan and Luxembourg in driving and heading up the negotiations that have made this resolution possible.
