The two Unions that represent Torrevieja’s Policia Local have both said that the recent shift changes implemented by local commanders to cover dates between 3 and 9 March have been little short of disastrous.
They say that some shifts were duplicated while other areas of the city received no police coverage at all. Indeed according to the Ccoo and Sipol, 20 officers were not assigned at all and now the unions are calling for the commanders responsible to be disciplined.
The changes cover the local force which numbers 170 officers. The unions also say that the Councillor responsible is quite clearly responsible for a lack of leadership and poor management of the force.
