FLOOD OF INFORMED BUYERS RETURNING TO SPANISH MARKET

Record numbers of people hoping to purchase a property in Spain visited the Spain Buying Guide stand at the “A Place in the Sun Live!” exhibition held in London at the weekend, confirming the market is firmly back on track and potential buyers thankfully are doing their homework.

Richard Way, Editor at The Overseas Guides Company said: “Our stand received more enquiries at the London event than at any other show we have exhibited at, and those people we spoke to seemed genuinely serious about buying their dream Spanish home.”

“There were no surprises about favoured destinations – most of our enquiries focused on the Costa del Sol, Costa Blanca and Murcia, and we were able to put scores of people in touch with one or more of our trusted partners in Spain, including our recommended legal firm.

“Having a joint stand with Smart Currency Exchange also meant we could explain how people could save money when sending funds to and from Spain, and how to minimise their exposure to exchange rates. Thanks to A Place in the Sun Live, we were able to give a small group of people a firm first foothold on the Spanish property ladder – and we look forward to seeing the results.”
