TORREVIEJA MAY FAIR

Hola,
I don’t know whether there is someone I should write to but felt a warning to other visitors, obviously for next year now, would be useful.

We have lived in Spain for 10 years and have been to the May Fair before but today we stopped for a drink at one of the “tents”. We ordered a Rose wine and a pint (cerveza grande) .. when we asked for the bill it was 9 euros !!!!

I questioned this in my best Spanish (The wine was 2 euros and the large beer 7 euros !!!!) and was also told by the waiter (in Spanish, no problem) that he was only a worker and that that was the price for a large beer. He would not give me the name of his boss or the telephone number of his bar/restaurant.

I would point out that most of the other “bars” were selling cañas at 1.50 whereas at this bar they were 2.00 euros … even so three cañas would only have been 6 euros … The “large beer” which I was told was extra large was in fact served in a plastic glass stamped .75 ml !!

The name on the tent was CASETA TUS AMIGOS. It was the end “bar” in the centre, facing the stage.
Have you any ideas of what I can do.
