A 24 year old male, identified with having the initials D.G.A., has been arrested for colliding with a number of parked vehicles whilst he was driving drunk.

However, lucky not to have killed himself and other road users, luck dealt a wakeup call as the four vehicles he collided with belonged to the Guardia Civil and were parked outside the barracks in Benemérita in the town of Guadalajara in the autonomous community of Castile–La Mancha.

The incident occurred in the small hours of the morning, at around 4 a.m. on Sunday morning and the driver gave a positive alcohol test of 1.14 milligrams of alcohol per litre of breath.

In addition, two Guardia Civil traffic officers suffered minor injuries when their patrol vehicle was in collision with a truck on Sunday on the A-5, at kilometre 210, in the Arnoya de Ourense area. The two officers suffered minor injuries and were taken to the Hospital del Carmen. The truck driver, meanwhile, was unhurt.
