PACHETA APPOINTED AS HERCULES COACH
Following their relegation from Segunda A, the newly appointed Sports Director of Hercules CF, Dani Barroso, has made his first appointment at the club, the engagement of Jose Rojo, Pacheta, as the new club coach for a term of one year.
Pacheta joins Hercules from the Poland where he managed Korona Kielce, who finished 13th following his one season in the post.
During a long playing career the new manager appeared for both Espanyol and Numancia before going into management with Numancia, Real Oviedo and Cartagena from where he was surprisingly dismissed by President Paco Gomez following their promotion. He moved to Poland and Korona Kielce last year.
Barroso said he chose Pacheta because of his knowledge of Segunda B and because he is well used to working in ‘pressure’ situations, something that he will once again experience as he endeavours to get the former La Liga club back into Segunda A at the first time of asking.
The Sporting Director said that with the most important appointment now made the club can focus their efforts on preparing a team that is guaranteed to challenge for promotion to Segunda A, but that his staff will not be rushed. “I want to have better team on August 31, than I had on June 30, to after getting off to a good start in the new season we will need to consolidate our efforts and ensure that we gain promotion.
