Two large tuna have been washed up on the beaches of Torrevieja this week.
The first was found in the natural pools of Playa del Cura on Wednesday, the second between the beaches of Los Náufragos and La Veleta on Thursday.
According to the municipal biologist, Juan Antonio Pujo, it is believed that the fish may have been part of an illegal hoard on a boat which subsequently dumped the dead fish back into the sea to avoid a hefty fine.
