ALICANTE
MARQ Archaeological museum – Exhibition – “Deltebre I. History of a shipwreck” displaying artefacts rescued from a British navy ship which was sunk in the mouth of the Ebro in 1813 (until January 11, 2015). Exhibition – Art and archaeology from the Chinese Han Dynasty, 206 BC – 220 AD. Exhibition – Wines of Alicante through history (Through a hundred pieces, some with over twenty centuries old, – vases, jars, bottles, cups, and other publications related to the growing and production of wine utensils visitors can see the origin of production in Alicante).
Exhibition – “Toda la galaxia en el castillo”. A collection of 20,000 items of interest to Star Wars fans, including toys, models and works of art. Castillo de Santa Bárbara (Until 11 April).

TORREVIEJA
The weekend sees the Fiesta de San Emigdio in the park of Nations, the patron saint of Torrevieja, who is also the patron saint of earthquakes, as legend says he appeared in Torrevieja after the devastating 1829 earthquake, which killed hundreds of people and destroyed thousands of homes.
