BAR OWNER ARRESTED IN SAN ISIDRO

Officers from the Guardia Civil have arrested a 54 year old Spanish bar owner in San Isidro, after finding him in possession of numerous drugs.

The officers had been made aware of suspected illegal activity in the bar and set about a search of the premises. They found 30 doses of cocaine and 61 ecstasy tablets stored in CD cases and catalogued.

During the raid, the officers also seized a machete, a fake firearm and a crossbow and arrows, as well as a variety of other questionable items such as hashish, mushrooms, marihuana and 1,500 euro in cash.

The man was arrested for a crime against public health and was put before the criminal courts of Orihuela.
