The enclosure of the Eras de la Sal on Sunday welcomed more than fifty people who gathered together to observe the new ‘Breakfast-Art’ Club, an activity in which several local groups share their experiences as they each prepare traditional crafts and established gourmet dishes.
The idea is to promote relationships and enjoy a morning together with like-minded individuals.
They were joined by Agustina Esteve, the Councillor for Citizen Participation, who said how important such breakfasts were allowing individuals to recall and share anecdotes and incidents as the morning’s activities are pursued.
She also said that a summary of each day will be recorded along with photographs depicting some of the exhibits and dishes which would then form the basis of a public exhibition in Torrevieja during the course of next year.
In short, Breakfast-Art allows participants to develop existing social relations amongst themselves (national, international, young and old), in an atmosphere of fellowship, sharing cultures and places of interest.
The activity already takes place in la Plaza de Oriente, in el Parque Martha Luisa de Noruega (Urbanización La Siesta), and the Water Mill (Molino del Agua) in La Mata.
