REASONS TO BE MERRY ON THE ORIHUELA COSTA

The Orihuela Costa Branch of the Royal British Legion got their Christmas Celebrations off to the best possible start with their traditional seasonal entertainment, a most enjoyable concert hosted once again by the TAABS.

This popular group, singing for the 4th consecutive evening, sang a variety of widely known songs and carols culminating once again with the holiday favourite, ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas’ although not all the verses quite as writer Frederick Austin might have wished.

The evening also presented an opportunity for the Branch to offer their congratulations to member Geoff Matthews of Campoverde who had celebrated his 92nd birthday earlier in the week.

He is pictured with two relatively junior members of the Branch, Wayne and Skippy, both enjoying a short break from their home in the Royal Hospital Chelsea.
